Campamento means camp in spanish. «Kamalampi» campamento is located in Peru, 60 km away from Iquitos. Iquitos is the world’s largest city (about 450 thousand inhabitants) that cannot be reached by road. It can either be reached by plane or by Amazon river – world’s greatest river (about 3600 km upstream from the Atlantic Ocean) and 5 km away from Tamshiyacu village. “Kamalampi» campamento is a unique place where you can plunge into the world of pristine jungle and forces inhabiting it. Our goal is to give people an opportunity to be alone in the nature in one of the most exotic places on the planet, in one of the wonders of the world – the Amazon jungle. The inspiration to create such a place came after various methods of self-knowledge and the treatment by indigenous peoples of South America. We also take an active part in an independent project in planting the sacred plant ayahuasca, as well as the preservation of cultural heritage and practices of Amazon shamanism. The camp was founded in 2010 on the former plantation of Umari fruit trees alongside pristine jungle. The center is located on an area of 14 hectares and currently includes 3 bungalows made from natural organic materials with a unique design with an area of 35 to 45 square meters. Besides that, there is a Temple for ceremonies, geodesic sphere, kitchen, utility room and a convenient private beach on one of the small tributaries of the Amazon river.
